This City Stinks

Whether you believe in the future

Or you're just living in the present

You know you need a new precedent

Plant the seeds.

Maybe you’ll grow a whale not a tree

Maybe it’ll sprout a spout and swim free

Maybe it won't be grown till your grandkids are seen

Every seed is a dream of a future

An act of imagination

Its de colonisation of your imagination

It's an act of rebellion against the biggest lie you've ever been told

The lie that this is the only world that's possible.

The rising global heat has awoken something beneath us - vast and inhuman.

It threatens us all.

This thrilling street game challenges you and your friends to follow smell trails into the night to track down an unknown adversary.

What would you risk for a handful of hope?

Set in a dystopian near-future where the rising global heat has awoken something vast and inhuman beneath us, This City Stinks is a cross-the-city immersive experience with a soundscape designed by acclaimed sound artists Duncan Speakman and Sarah Anderson.

This City Stinks was commissioned by Waltham Forest Council for JUMP Festival, which looks at how important games and play are to our happiness.
