The Tweeture

A carry-around Social Robot, created for SXSW in 2010 by Simon Johnson and the Umbrella Group (an ACE delegation to SXSWi)

Made to frame the conversation around digital media usage in 2010, the Tweeture had embedded GPS and talked to you on Twitter.

Tweeture talked to attendees as a bot, with interventions from a delegation of artists, who sometimes took over the Tweeture’s ‘voice’ to guide more meaningful interactions.

Tweeture became something of a SXSWi celebrity, garnering multiple interviews with various international news channels and meeting Ev Williams (CEO of Twitter).
